Lightbulb OCAU top retro games of all time - 2017 edition - voting thread

Inspired by shmups.com's annual "top 25" list and/or Eurovision, let's do our own.

List for me your top 10 retro games, in order, best to "worst". You get to give points per game in order, for example:

10 points - Game A (your favourite game)
9 points - Game B
8 points - Game C
...
3 points - Game H
2 points - Game I
1 point - Game J (your least favourite of your top 10)

I'll then compile a whopping great Google sheet, counting up your points. After a month or so, we'll release the ordered lists with our favourites tallied up in order of score.

Rules are: you can only vote for games originally released December 31, 2007 or earlier.

Games will be lumped together where appropriate. For example, "Snatcher" on MSX2/SegaCD/Playstation will be considered one game regardless of which platform voted, as they're all mostly the same title. But Daikatana on GBC will be a different vote to the PC/N64 release, as they were completely different games. Remasters will be considered in the same way (e.g.: "Monkey Island Special Edition - Remastered" will be considered a vote for the original "Monkey Island", regardless of platform).

I'll only count complete 10-item lists. People throwing one game in and not nominating others will be considered general chatter, and not a valid vote.

Any video game on any platform is worthy. PC/Wintel, non-x86 PC, console, handheld, arcade, mobile, PDP-11, mainframe, LCD / Game and Watch, whatever. "Hoop with a stick" doesn't count, because it didn't use electricity.

Plenty of time, so no rush. I do ask people to avoid editing lists afterwards, as it'll make my job confusing. So have a good think about your options, and lay them out when you're ready. I'll let this run for a couple of months at least to give everyone the time to get their thoughts collected.

Need some inspiration?

Should I have made longer? Didn't know if that would turn people away or not.
