Real two minute noodles.
Notes: Take any packs of those crappy Maggi noodles you have and burn them before doing this. You'll thank me later. Go to the supermarket and pick up some asian style ones - the best are by Indomie, and have at least a dry flavouring sachet and an "oil" sachet. They're also a lot cheaper than Maggi noodles. 25 packs will be around $10. Ingredients:
Equipment:
Directions:
Drink: Instant miso is nice, if you can find it. |

Something else to try, if you're in an experimenting kinda mood:
One pack of Indomie shrimp noodles (prepared as per above) Start the water boiling, crack an egg open and seperate the white out of it. Throw your noodles in, then about 30 seconds later drizzle in the egg white. Stir like hell and pour into a bowl when the noodles are soft. Eat... carefully. |

Gotta say Mi gorengs are amazing.
My g/f put me on them a while ago and i haven't looked back. (she eats mi gorengs with soup - gah!) It might be a good idea to break the hard noodle cakes in half before putting them in the water, this will make eating it faster and easier Also if you daring enough and can take chilli - or think you can, try some of the Korean instant noodles Some of those are amazingly good |

"Mi goreng" is a product of Indonesia. I think "Mi' is Noodles and "goreng" is fried. But you actually boil the noodles and drain out the water. You can find it at any good Asian stores. Around 30c a packet, or if you buy in box, it probably under $8 for 30 packets. Epoch: Filtered water ? You must be kidding? After you boil the water, it won't be any diff with tap water. Throw in some chopped lectuce, tomatoes as well - you must eat some green stuff like your mum told you I prefer some chopped spring onion for extra flavour. There are probably 20 different flavours of instant noodles at the Asian stores. Most of the Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese noodles are good (because plenty of MSG?) . Stay away from the Janpanese flavour - they all have a bland taste. My other favourite (after mi goreng) is Onion flavour noodles. |

I'm spoilt.
We've got one of those Aqua Vital water cooler thingies here, so that's what I use to make noodles with.Oh, and a new variation: My sister made a pot of chicken noodle soup, so I decided to use a 50/50 mix of the liquid from the soup and water. Obviously you'd only want to use this for chicken flavoured stuff, but it's damn tasty. The japanese buckwheat miso noodles are pretty bland, but they're about fifty times as filling as the regular wheat/rice ones. Last edited by Epoch; 23rd January 2002 at 6:40 PM. |

You guys should try the Malaysian Maggi noodles as opposed to the Aussie ones. Diff is like heaven and earth. Tho gettin it past customs is another matter.
