Default start up problems

when i start the computer, just after the first screen where it detects the hard drive and stuff, this message comes up...

"NBUltra133 (PDC28273) (tm) BIOS Version 2.28.1828.13
(c) 1999-2001 Promise Technology, Inc, All rights reserved.

Detecting ..."

it stays that way for 15 seconds then this:

"NBUltra133 (PDC28273) (tm) BIOS Version 2.28.1828.13
(c) 1999-2001 Promise Technology, Inc, All rights reserved.

NBUltra133 (PDC28273) BIOS is not installed because there are no drives attached"

Does anyone know how to fix this??
computer specs below..

would appear to be the raid controller trynig to detect drives. If you arent connecting any drives, then look in your mobo manual to find out how to disable the promise controller, as it will just slow down your boot time (as you have noticed)

if you have got drives attached, then check your mobo manual or raid controller manual to ensure that the drives are connected proberly, setup correctly... If they still dont work then try hooking them up to the normal IDE channel and see if they detect then....

correctamundo, you should be able to turn off the RAID controller in the BIOS as it appears you are not using it. Perhaps look in the integrated peripherals page, somewhere down the bottom, something along the lines of "Onboard RAID Controller".
