Bigpond Email POP3/SMTP

Can someone please tell me the POP3/SMTP server address's to access your email through bigpond, Thanks.

Using nslookup gives

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: mail.bigpond.com
Addresses: 144.135.25.9, 144.135.24.8

Just use mail.bigpond.com in the server fields.

I'm getting this error when trying to connect to the internet..says

Error 678: There was no answer.

Any help would be great, as I can't check the email

the same thing is happening to a mate of mine for no reason, he cant connect at all..not happy ...

Its fixed, all works.

It was pretty stupid actually. The Dial up connector flicks out...you had to push in some clear button which I didnt see, so I obviously stuck the phone cord into the network card. :P
