Default Which Onboard Raid Controllers Support CD/DVD Devices

Please only respond if you have done it or you have a manual for the raid controller stating the actual answer. I dont need guesses. There are some that do support it, I just want to find out which current ones do. We just want to use the raid connector as an IDE slot for CD/DVD devices.

The Promise on-board PATA RAID controller on the 8INXP, my current board, let you run your DVD and CD drives. I have them connected, you simply set in the board BIOS the RAID controller to ATA instead of RAID.
