Planning on putting a 12" car sub onto my pc somehow... anyone who's done it.. can you tell me the best way to do it?
I've currently got a system with a SB Live! value ... set of front speakers and currently using my Kenwood XD951 for my rear speakers.... not sure how one is to put a sub woofer on a pc setup. I'll need a powersupply and a way of hooking it to either my stereo or my pc... little unsure on this ![]() Any ideas? Thanks |

Run a spit jack from the SB to a mono Amp (or Stereo) Then hook up the sub to the Amp.

As for powering the Sub... how would I do that? I think Dick Smiths used to have kits for powre supply's but I believe they have stopped making them these days...

u shoudl use a car amp. they run on 12 volts so u need a power supply to drop down the voltage. You could try and make a powersupply it isn't that difficult if u buy a kit.
the amp will need crossovers in it. so the low frequencies only will get sent to the sub. |

getting a free 12" sub.... it's had a bit of a floggin... but eh what the hell free is free and I don't need ultra performance in such a small wooden room
I'm sure my room mates will agree. Any suggestions on where I could get a decentish cheap amp to power a 12" sub?
