Default 8RGA+ probs

hey, just having some probs with my 8rga+
installed win xp
and in xp lots of lines kind of come and stay across the screen
if you refresh it gets rid of them
and it kinda crashes / resets then does this again.

sys setup is
8rga+ (using onbaord vid + sound)
WD JD 120 GB
Liteon 52x burner
liteon 16 dvd
512mb KINGSTON PC2700
AMD XP 2100+ TBRED B CORE with a Volcano 9 on it
yeah.

some one please suggest some sensible like crap.

Its not the ram, passed goldmemory fine, also its not the psu, tried it with another more powerful and the same resault. I came to the conclusion that the motherboard was at fault.

Turns out it was infact the ram, took replaced it with some kingmax and it works, strange.

damit... i thought kingston was better then samsung and kingmax.

So which is the better one for ddr333?

Kingston is better, it was just that they didn't have any in stock so it had to be replaced with kingmax.

well my A7N-266VM hated Kingston PC2100/PC2700, exact same problems..

lines all the screen when using onboard video..

why didn't i read this thread before I went out and got Kingston 2700 and a 8RGA+ ?? now i have to go to the store again and swap it over..

I have the same trouble with 'garbage' all over the screen then it locks up and reboots.

Bizarre incompatability issues there... then again, I have a stick of Kingston PC2100 that doesn't go more than 135 before it locks the system...

swapped my Kingston for some transend ram, the guy in the store try 2 new sticks of Kingston and same problem.

I'm not complaining though, so far the comp is stable at 12.5x180, will try to better that tonight.
