Thumbs down Nothing and I mean NOTHING can prepare you for the day when your Koolance leaks

Trancier I hope you are reading this!

Well my new Koolance started to leak just now!
Lucky I was there near it and saw it happen.
I had time to switch off the system in time with NO DAMAGE to my system.

The leak is from the reservoir IN point (where the water from mobo chipset goes IN the reservoir). According to the manual end users need not to worry about those connections (IN/OUT reservoir and one connection from CPU) since they are "factory tested" before they leave the factory.
Well if they are tested then why is mine leaking?
Plus on top of this one of the fans from the top is making a higher pitched noise than the other 2 fans! Quiet higher pitched noise I might add.
And one of the pumps is making some weird noise as well. It goes quiet for a period of time and then then is noisy..then quiet for 5 mins ...noisy for 15 to 30 mins ..and so on.

WHat I am going to do now?
I await Trancier's response
In this kind of situation, I think some drastic action needs to be taken and fast as I can not turn on my PC! A replacement unit is the best option - both for my sake and for PCCaseGear!

I emailed them and I will let you know how they are willing to deal with this situation

i can point out that unless the reservoir is cracked or leaking itself (and this is not a pipe leak) then the blame lies with you. Sorry to point this out (and not to sound rude), but the setting up of the system lies with the user, and not with the company who produced and or sold it.

Bravo:

No way man! The leaking is coming from the hose the goes to the INTAKE int he reservoir.
This line has been SEALED and the hose crimp was attached by the factory!! It even says in the manual not to worry about factory sealed hoses ..test only the ones you do yourself.
I never touched it ..it just started leaking as I turned it on and I was watching it (it leaks right from under the hose crimp which was attahced by them)

I mean even in the manual they said something like - We have done this for you (crip them). You dont worry about it as they have been tested. You need to test the crimps you do (like mobo and one of the CPU). Sadly is their one that started leaking. I had nothing to do with it.

Ok to make it a bit clearer - the unit comes with hoses and crimps already done from factory. Those are:

IN/OUt pump and,
ONE side of CPU

the other side is left undone so users can stick a hose and mobo cooler without have to undo anything.

The IN outlet started leaking. How can it be my fault? What assmebly when I never touched it?

Edit: well I do want a replacement but on the spot not really. You see I am in Perth so I can give those guys a few days to sort this mess out.

My mistake, i was given the impression that the user installed the system (and set it up out of the box).

Do you honestly think you are going to get a response from PCCG or Trancier on a forum? This type of post belongs in an email to PCCG support. Your 'threat' to Trancier or PCCG is unneccesary as they have done no wrong. Perhaps this type of post belongs in the Vendor Verdicts, but ONLY IF they were unable to assist in your problem. Before bitching about a forum user (not necessarily a representative of the company) and bad mouthing a business perhaps you should attempt to resolve your issue with PCCG...which in any case is really with Koolance if this particular system is faulty.

MnM: This forum isn't a tech support channel for PCCG. Neither am I representing PCCG on these forums anymore. Anyway I can understand your situation and will make sure your email gets a speedy response.

For what it's worth, a forum post like this isn't going to get results any quicker. Even though we're on holidays at the moment email is still being monitored for emergency problems such as this.

As if we wouldn't fix it for you, we've always taken care of our customers

Either your case will be repaired or fixed. Only obstacle I can see is that our courier services are on holidays, but we'll find a way around that. Someone will call you on Wednesday or Thursday to find out what's happened exactly.

Agreed. Even though I did respond on the forums in this situation can we please keep PCCG sales/enquiries/support to the PCCG email accounts. While we do occasionally post OCAU specials and deals that is the intended limit of business conducted via the forums.

PS That includes people placing orders by PM!!!

i bought a koolance and the usb header thing and when you put the usb header thing on, the front face of the case will no longer go on, like it's not even made for it.. but then it clips into the frame perfectly like it is.. any idea on this?
