no one said it was better...
it has a 320x288 cif camera

and memory is unknown at the moment,

series 40 only.....no symbian but java

basically same class as 6100 7210 6610

so its much weaker than da 7650 but da 7650 is HUGE its a break

ok lets talk bout 7650 now,

1.its symbian, symbian is not too bad however its clumsy and slow, its powerful but slow response.

2.the camera is ok. 640x480 jpeg i fink not sure, pictures are blurry but its not too bad

3.battery goes fast

4.its big TFT 12bit color is nice but it adds to da stress on da battery.

5.series 60 for 7650 which means less restrictions on java apps.

6......3.5meg's of ram which isn't much.

7. 1 hand operation might be a little hard

8. 24 simultaneous tones for poly tones

ok lets talk bout 7210,6100,6610,

1. series 40, aka slower hardware, less ram 725kb shared mem, 3java applets only 65kb each MAX.

2.color screen is 128x128, passive lcd, not bad 12bit 4096 color, its a bit ghosty but its good

3.battery last alittle longer than 7650.

4.size is much easier to handle,1 hand operation with ease

5. only 4 simultaneous tones for poly tones

now for 7250
same as 7210 set except for camera.

Just picked one up from Expansys in Manchester. Cost sim free just short of £500. Fairly happy overall. The phone is neat in a metallic blue, with excellent ergonomics on the keypad for such a small design. Screen is generally clear in most lighting conditions(sadly though, not a patch on 7650 display), but photos taken with the integrated camera are not particularly detailed when viewed on phone itself(Have not tried infrared link yet, so cannot discuss how the snaps look when transferred to PC). Memory pool on my model shows 4mg+ so this is comparable to the 7650!, a surprise when nokia site specs quote 725k!!. That translates to over 200 photos in high quality, or room for plenty of Java apps/ games etc. Menu system is fairly standard for Nokia, similar to 7210. FM radio reception is excellent, and the speaker volume and clarity, both for calls and radio, is very good. I have read a review stating the ability to assign photos in phonebook. This is definitely NOT possible on my model, and was my only real disappointment, although to be fair, the dimensions of the screen would produce a very indistinct thumbnail pic anyway.
Not decided whether I'm keeping it yet. The sony/Eric. T610 looks like its going to be a winner too, but I would recommend 7250 without too many reservations if it were cheaper, and no doubt it will fall in price in UK over the coming weeks and months.

My 7250,

Free memory:
5439kB

Memory used:
Applications 28kB
Games 93kB

Mine is basically new, I've just deleted all of the pics that came with and all of the tones. Taken maybe a couple of my own pics.
