Admiral I have to say those ISO examples are impressive. I haven't used a high end digital camera, but Im amazed that it can hold such quality at an iso of 3200. What shutter speed/apeture were you using at that iso?..

Also what lens are you thinking of getting when you muster up the cash. I noticed recently that Tamron released a 28-300mm lens, which I would love to get my hands on. Does canon have a similar lens with a really versatile range?..(would be great for travelling me thinks )

Sorry mate, I deleted the original files from that ISO test, so the shutter speed/aperture are lost forever. It wasn't long though, maybe around the realm of 1/20 to 1/50. I remember I only bothered putting the camera on a tripod so the photos would line up properly.

And the next two lenses I buy (can't see myself needing any others really) are the Canon 70-200 f/4L, and the Sigma 15/30mm f3.5/4.5 for wide angle work.

Why?.. I haven't used it or heard anything about it. But just looking at the specs it looked pretty useful. Whats the matter with it?

A Manfrotto 190D base with a 141RC head.

Just the basic combination really, but it does the trick.

Well, the lack of a wide angle lens was absolutely killing me, so I went out and got the Sigma 15-30 f3.5-4.5 DG Lens today. For $1350, it's at least a third cheaper than any Canon lens that could get you that kind of coverage, which made it a very attractive buy.

Also, it's recieved excellent reviews from many Canon users on the DPreview Forums, with the odd exception here and there.

I'll dump some example shots into the Photography Appreciation Thread, but here's a photo of the lens on the camera:

Wow. That is one impressive camera. Are you a professional photographer (when you're not working your day job that is) or just an amateur?
