the swiftech quick connect system is acutally pretty sweet, i had my doubts about it but they were quick dispeled. Definately one of the better bundled H2O kits to get..

must be good if all you ppl are reccomending it

i'll check it out, the rad is pretty small though, does size make much temp difference ?

The Swiftech kit is NOT a performance water cooling solution. It is designed for ease-of-use, portability, and low noise with respectable performance.

It handles the system in my sig very comfortably. I get temps of around 44 idle, 50 load. Thats with just distilled water and nothing else.

But if you want top notch performance, your better off getting another rad.

hmmm, whats the thermal take kit like, i really don't have $400+ for the other kits, atm i have an slk 800 & evercool fane, if i could reduce the noise & get the 800gram load off my cpu that would be good also, is it worth getting & could it be upgraded to better parts later ie new pump/ radiator ???

JARON are releasing a budget kit in the next few weeks. I am told that they are about $250 without the fans.

$420 for those temps! :O

Ive just started OC'ing my new CPU ...
2100+ (1733 @ 2275) so far .... max ive seen is 48 FULL load (about 28amb)
Even that temp sucks, my HS is scratched, so lapping it should bring it down 3-4degrees or more, like when it was new.
SLK-800

Thats with all my fans on 7v.
Fans 12v ... drop CPU temp by 3-4deg

i get better temps than that, and im using the swiftech set...

my 2400+ is running at almost 2300mhz (stock 2000mhz)
at around 36*c under load, and 30 idle.
Im using the distilled water/coolant mix that was suggested, and im very happy with it.

The rad is in the best possible position and i cut and 80mm spot for it to sit, so that it can do its job.

its good, but if you want to make it killer, add a dual 120mm rad and then maybe a reservoir and submerge the pump. (later on)

Yeah i've got the 2100+ (1.73ghz overclocked to 2.3), so thats a much bigger overclock than a 2400+.

Also i'm using the GPU and CPU block with the swiftech kit and i've only got plain distilled water with no added coolant/water wetter.

blayde.au: Try overclocking your 600 mhz then gimme your temp readings, and even then, my rad is working on the CPU and GPU. So i'd say the temps i get is fair with my setup.

Your not paying $420 for temperatures, your paying it for a good and reliable watercooling setup with low noise, and its portability. If you get a resvoiur and and big bad rad and a massive pump, i doubt you'll be attending any lans anytime soon.

Do I have to remind people yet again that temperatures are not comparable between different motherboards/CPU's?

yeah, agreed, |guanA, i was just pointing out that its a capable kit...

i doubt it'd be capable of handling a 600mhz oc if youre cooling your GPU with the same water, same rad, and no reservoir.

seems to cool tbred b cores pretty damn well on their lonesome.

sorry no info on the thermaltake kit but I am also interested in it, I dont want to O/C to buggery I just want to SHUT MY COMPUTER THE HELL UP!!! and I have hered that that is what its good for... and the price is much more appealiong than both the Innovatek and swifttech.

I read a review of the Innovatec vs Swiftech and apparently the Innovatec is a much better system with much better performance and ease of set up... however that was only one review so... meh

yer, thats the same reason that i want the thermaltake kit for pure silence (or almost), computer = noisy = ears are bleading

not cool man, not cool

i'm interested in the thermaltake kit myself now as one of the blades on my cpu fan broke so it's off balance and really noisy (bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz style)

from the review i read on overclockers.com it's good for what it does (shuts your PC the hell up) and its performance they said was similar to a Volcano 7 HSF (which is like 10 times louder)

i was looking at peltier+water cooling but it's too expensive to setup in the near future

i'm after noise reduction mostly (and i'm not overclocking heaps yet so i don't need hardcore cooling, but i'd prefer a slightly lower load temps.... 50+ hurts) also with the side of my case on the cpu doesn't get enough air and the temp jumps by about 10 degrees (idle @ 55 anyone?) since the radiator would be mounted in front of a hole in the case i guess water wouldn't suffer the same problem as the air cooler does?

is the thermaltake worth it?
