Default New subwoofer Driver

Ok I just killed my old 12' Sub driver and I need a new one.

I would like some peoples opinions on what driver to get. I will be putting it in a 45L sealed box, I will be powering it from a Jay Car 350 watt amp module and it will be sitting in the corner of a large room and will be used mainly for HT. My main AMP is the yamaha RXV 1300 and I use Polk Audio speakers all round (Rti 70's - Front / R 40's - Rear / CsI 30 - Center / Rear Center)

I am currently looking at the Shiva Mk3 or one of the Jay car Carbon fibre woofers or the XL Series of drivers

I would like to know what your opinion on what driver would go quite well with my current setup, my price range is about $300 but this can be streched a little.

With that much power on hand, the shiva will beat the others hands down quality wise and spl wise

The Shiva and XL Jaycars are good.

Avoid the Carbon drivers though....heard not to many good things about them as Sub drivers.

Go the Shiva!!

That sealed box is the perfect size, they sound great sealed aswell as ported so sealed should get it playing very low.

I currently have a JL Audio 12W0 that flaps now on hard bass hits... some songs are unlistenable.... and I am looking for a drop in replacement.

It sits in a large sealed box in the trunk of a VN Commodore.... the sub fires towards the front through the fold down hole in the rear seat. I don't know the volume (the system was professionally installed) of the box but it is as wide as the boot basically. And the amp running the sub is an Alpine V12 model bridged to 300wx1 @ 4ohms.

I know I am lacking volume info for my box but do you guys think it sound as if the Shiva would be a good drop in replacement?

Looking at T/S numbers alone, the Shiva is the best 12 " DIY driver going around.

But if you want to get the best out of it then you need to look at the cabinet your gonna put it in.

Does anyone know who manufactures the MandK Drivers for their subs, or if they make their own drivers does anyone know where you could just buy one of these replacment drivers.
