Default Annoying Page File Problem

Gday All,
When i boot up my pc it will hang at the login screen and just sit there for days if you let it. However when you press alt tab, it brings up a page file error. Clicking ok here will boot the pc and recommend you change the page file settings. Just to be sure i now have a 2048 page file on every one of my hard drives and yet im still getting this annoying boot up problem.

The pc is running winxp which is a clean install as of yesterday. One thing ive noticed (after reinstalling Windows a few times
) is that the problem only kicks in when i install my plugins for Cubase Sx.

Don't suppose anyone has seen this problem before or can recommend a way around it?
Cheers

Update - Setting no page file seems to fix the problem. But isnt exactly recommended...

Red face Hmm...

What kind of memory you running and is it OC'd?

How old is your memory and have you benched it lately with MEM86? or something similar?

Are you running higher then rated?
