Lately people have been asking about this and I thought Id write a quick guide before bed
Ill lock this up and just add it to the GUIDES sticky at the top of the forum here. Preparing for the Flash 1) Create a DOS startup disk or else just boot from a start up cd that will get you into a DOS environment 2) Everything you need to flash in in this rar file linked here 3) Also before you are ready you will need to grab the Catalyst 3.4 Driver and Control Panel. (personal prefference here guys, its up to you )Once you have set yourself up 4) Uninstall all drivers by just going thru Add/Remove programs and uninstall from there both the Control Panel and the Driver. Reboot back to Windows and then 5) Boot into a clean DOS environment using a Windows Start up CD or Floppy. You then type this in at the DOS prompt with your floppy/cd with the ATi flasher and BIOS file on it in the drive; atiflash -f -p 0 97npherc.bin and then it will flash 6) Once you reboot back into windows, install the new Drivers that you got before and then reboot as required and then setup your settings as you like and then start playing.....oh yer and dont forget to OC the card ![]() Its the same deal though as I said in the 9700 Pro bios flashing guide.....I dont take responsibility for bad flashes so flash at your own risk..... ![]() im sure you will be ok though

Dont forget to back up ur bios first
atiflash -f -s 0 XXXX.bin where xxxx is the filename you want for the backup. then atiflash -f -p 0 xxxx.BIN where xxxx is the name of the BIOS you want to flash [Creat Edit: added the last few words you missed ]

The backup step is THE most important step in the whole thing.
Nice work Sivadselim.....err I mean Creative :P (Sivadselim is a dude on rage 3d forums who made a 9500pro unlocking guide) You can also make a bootable CD with the files on it yourself, if you don't have a FD drive (like me). |

Also be aware that flashing a non-pro with the PRO bios can help you get a higher overclock, particularly with the RAM speed! It's been done with good success to many cards before, including mine.
I would, however, test with the unlocked non-pro BIOS first to ensure that your card is capable of running the default PRO speeds of 325/310. Just to be on the safe side Mind you, only an absolute dog of a card wouldn't be able to do these speeds!
