Default ga7va multiplier selection question

hey guys - a question for the gigabyle board owners out there -

how can i adjust the multiplier on my ga7va(not ultra) board?

like there's no option in the bios to underclock it - so i can get it to boot my 2200+ yhoroughbred b cpu @ 166 fsb! ( x 13.5 multiplier) so i was hoping i can adjust the multiplier somewhere.

the cpu is not unlocked, and i cant adjust it in the easytune 4 prog in windows - but, if i unlock it - will it allow me to change the multiplier in easytune 4 - or can i set it up in the bios for the boot?

i've tried finding options for it in the bios, with the ctrl+f1 trick...no go -

is it an option in the bios, that just doesnt appear cos the multiplier is currently locked? and if so - will it appear when the cpu is unlocked?

Nope ; it is a series of dip switches on the motherboard that control the multiplier.

cheers

there's no dip switches on the mobo man - it's the base model

your thinking of the next model up...

it only has switches for 100, 133, 166 fsb respectively
