Default Nitro RCs

Hey all, thought I'd post something about my latest hobby, Nitro RC's.....some of you may of heard of them, some may not. You remember those radio controlled cars at Tandy electronics, well these Nitro RCs are a million times better! As in out of the box they will go about 50Km/H. What makes them even better is the fact that they run on nitro fuel, you can attach a big ass tuned pipe to them as well, among heaps of other upgrades you can do to make it reach over 80Km/H! It's not a cheap hobby, but I highly recommend it to anyone with time and money to spare. This is the kit that I just bought, cost me about $600 with various upgrades and accessories:

Just spreading the word on my new obsession.....

Thanks for reading

They sound awesome. Are there 4WD sorta ones. I live on an acreage...don't exactly have much smooth flat ground.
It's the bush!

Yep, there sure are 4WD ones....my HPI car is actually 4WD, handles awesome! (On-road tho, you're after and off-road right?)If so you can definitely get the sort of thing you're after. The two most popular in the nitro's are the HPI RS4 MT, and the Traxxas T-Maxx. Each one will set you back around $800 but are pre-built with radio and all electronics and parts you need to get it running. Alternatively you can buy the RS4 MT in a kit which allows you to build the kit yourself, this will be cheaper as it doesn't include the radio and receiver. The T-Maxx is not available in a kit tho! I get all my info on these at the HPI Forums. Of course the replies will be biased towards HPI products, but you will be able to find out the pros and cons of both! Hope I've helped

Also, IMO the T-Maxx would probably be more fun and is apparently a lot stronger than the RS4 MT. The good thing about the MT is that its good for off-road racing and that sort of thing
