ok I have got over the previous problem....

I changed the powerconnector that goes into the HHD from my 9500pro....and just used a normal molex....

a few things u should know....although the light on the CDRW is on....the door doesnt open and it doesnt detect in bios....

I dont hear the HDD spinning or nothing...

both of the drives are on cable select....I had the HDD master and CDRW slave to no avail.....

I wanna get the drives detected....then I can take it from there...

specs are....

2400tbred b
powercolour 9500pro
seagate 7200
2 x 256mb of 2700 kingston
Gigabyte nforce2 mobo......

updated the orginal post....now I just need to be able to detect the HDD and CDRW....floppy detection is OK

Can you set the bios to 'auto' so that they're detected in the POST?

hehe...I didnt even knwo that the pink side of the IDE must go on the molex side....

atleast I know that for the furute....
