Preinstallation of Windows XP in Industry...
I would like to hear the experiences you;ve incounted with it ![]() For me and my work mates this preinstallation process has allowed us to cut our time devoted to software installation on custom machines a many many times. Installing application sets, driver sets to 10+ machines at once has become a breeze. Leaving us more time to have a play and "Test" the machines...heheh. ![]() ________ gomez |

I prefer unattended setups to any form of actual pre-installation.
Network Boot Disk (partitions & formats local disk as well as connecting to network share). Answer 3 Questions (Computer Name, Which Apps, Which Domain) Result after 30-45 minutes one fully built PC with approx 2 minutes human intervention. Once you have mastered the basics, it's very portable and easy to customise. I use it at home and at work for clients and in-house support. Use similar process for our servers as well. Great for building mirror images as its all scripted. Ideal for the Citrix MetaFrame environments I work with. |
