Well i got my Samsung v200 today and to say its lacking in features is an understatement. Basically what you see on the outside of the phone is what you get. If however you're a superficial bastard like me then you'll love this phone.
Its lacking in any notable software features but its functional, fast and easy to use. The camera isnt as good as the gd88, under night conditions its almost impossible to take clear shots. The brightness control helps but not much. The camera is however noticeably less laggy than the gd88. The screen is beautiful. Very, very vibrant. 40 chord polyphonics sound really good and the included data cable AND software cd is very easy to setup and works hassle free. I have to mention it also included 2 batteries AND samsung hands free. Now thats an impressive phone package! Build quality is very solid, high quality stuff. Although im worried im going to lose the plastic rubber plugs covering the holes and inputs. Battery life didnt last more than a day on the slim one. Its been a day and ive got 2/3 life left on the chunkier battery. Although i have been testing the camera, playing ringtones and dl crap to the phone so i assume life is extended under normal conditions. Games sucked arse. Theres a shooting one like 1945 but its too laggy to play. Theres a poor Erix (t68) type game which is also too laggy and finally a weird tamagotchi thing where you raise your pet and after 5 game days you take it to competitions, needless to say i didnt get anywhere near the competition before i gave up. Good phone for looks but im starting to miss all the great features that my T68 has. Just have to add that the colour correction thing on the camera needs adjustment. Sometimes it doesnt know what it wants to do. And the 10x zoom i think just expands the picture.

Tried it just then and there was no problem uploading photos to PC. Might be an old version of EasyGPRS software other people were using.

Yeah, samsungs do lack some functionality but the screen and polyphonics really make up for it, great for a superficial bastard like me!
I was going to get the V200 but I didn't want/need the camera so decided to go with the T400.

samsung phones get boring too easily. there's nothing in them. Wow I can change my wallpaper/ringtones
I cant wait till samsung release the D700 though: http://mobile.burn.com/review.jsp?Id=291 If it's not available here i'll get someone from o/s to get it. It also has one of my favourite phone os's (Nokia Series 60) which should mean most Nokia 7650 and 3650 apps will work on it.
