Default GA-6BXD coppermine SMP and PCB revision

Just doing some research on the GA-6BXD about coppermine cpus, the 1st update stipulates you need a 1.6d PCB
Quote:
6bxd_f1.zip F1
(Jan.01, 2000) 1. Support Coppermine CPU.
2. PCB revision : 1.6D (equal or above)
But the next update does not, anyone back my theory that you could run a pair of coppermines in a pre 1.6d board?

you should be able to run cu P3's on the older revision. Just that the new revision with the new bios is supported by Gigabyte. Also the Cu P3's only run at 100MHz fsb. So if you get a 133MHz P3, it'll only run at 2/3's the speed.

I have a GA6-BXDS.
