Default Mobile camera pictures!

Does anyone know where I can find pictures taken with the Siemens cameras? Does any of you have some? I am considering the M55, but I want to see the camera quality first.

Thanx!

Not sure about the M55 - but I do know the image quality on the S55's included camera is pathetic. Your looking at only 96x96, unfortunately... which looks ok on the tiny screen, but would obviously be useless on a computer (or a better mobile screen).

As for comparisons: Nokia 7250 is 128x128, 7250i is about twice that in both dimensions (not sure exactly what the image res is)

The Nokia Camera Headset takes VGA photos (640x480) and is attachable to all new Nokias with the pop-port.

That's about the extent of my knowledge... I also know the Motorola E365 (which I bought yesterday) also has a VGA camera.

T610 takes both 96x96 & 128x128 shots.

I just got my nokia 7250 on Monday and the photo's off that are 352x288. The quality is nowhere near as good as a real digital camera, but I was surprised at the quality (?) of them. Up close is better, distance shots aren't good at all. They get kinda blurry and indistinct. But if ur using it to take pics of people near you, then the cam on this phone is fine. Just don't do what one of my students did at school the other day and use it to take a shot up a girl's skirt! He got in a lot of trouble for that Devious little bastard.

The T610's resolution is actually 288x352, or you can choose to take them in 120x160 for lesser phones...

I'm looking at the options on my T610 now...

*laughs back on Dr Freedom's behalf, and half @ Dr. Freedom for getting it so wrong*

Tenoq;

I saw the pics from M55 camera on this site and they look really ok for me! Not tiny at all! They are 640x480 aswell! You can choose between the small and the large ones. Why did you think there were only small ones?

I think i'll need to invest in the camera and M55, anyone know where to buy one?

Campster123;

Yeah, I think they are really good aswell.

I actually said I wasn't sure about the M55 - but the S55 is only 96x96 :P

Reason for this is, the mobiles generally have a fixed focus point, around 1 metre from the camera. AFAIK, mobiles don't have auto-focusing lens

What's the M55 worth at the moment?

My mistake - I was reading from the S55 brochure & manual, rather than the website for the details regarding the camera.

It's mistakes like these that get people like me into trouble! Although... one has to wonder if the problem exists that although the camera supports VGA, the phone does not. I'll have a play next time I'm at work, methinks!
