Default VIA (3059) Audio controller (ALC650) REALTEK AC97

Im using my onboard sound that came with my EPOX 8K9A2+ (specs here - http://www.epox.nl/english/products/...d/8k9a2%2B.htm)
Im using the 3.49 drivers.

The problem im having is that the sound that comes out, is extremely soft in volume. Ive turned up every volume setting possible, and still it is extremely soft.
Ive used speakers, headphones of all types and no luck.

Just wondering if anyone knows of any other drivers, apart from the REALTEK ones, that work for this, that could create louder volume output.

Just to check, have you updated to the latest driver version as recommended in that thread? The driver versions should now look like this in Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Manager:

Audio Driver Version 5.10.0.4030
AC97 Codec: ALC650
Audio Controller: VIA 3059

Without going through 5 pages of posts, it also looks like you may need some hardware (i.e. cabling etc.) to increase the sound output. Either that or powered speakers.
