Default GeForce 2mx cooling...

I have a HIS GeForce 2 mx200, when i got it, it came with just a heatsink (no fan) on the gpu, so of course i had to put one on it before i used it..
my question is, can this video card be ran with out a fan?
(im trying to make my comp as quiet as possable)

also when i overclock this card i can get 220Mhz core and 193Mhz ram, i havent gone any higher, but can i? what are the normal clock speeds these cards can reach?

Cooling it would be a good idea, but isnt really needed unless your going to overclock.

I get my MSI GF2MX up to 260/205, but i rarely use it at that.
Mine is watercooled so i have no probs with heat

No probs with no fan as many mx's dont have them, and yes if o/c then a fan may help but it will be hardly big enuff for u to hear it.

well its just that the fan i have on it, although being small is really loud and id like to get rid of it!
but if i did deside to overclock it, i'd invest in a nice quiet fan.

not all 40x40mm fans are quiet LOL my mx400 has a 40mm x 40mm x 20mm fan on it which spins at 6800rpm IT IS REALLY LOUD and ANNOYING going to take iot off again and clock it down, not worth the noise level :-)
