I have a Sparkle GF4 Ti4400 and have never had a problem with it. Was a cheap buy I know but it works fine.

That is meant to mean?

A Gf3 is still a good card. With a 1+ Ghz cpu they still perform more than good enough! Far out man, i still have a 32mb TNT 2 m64 in my Tualatin Celeron boxen, 1.5Ghz ( Oc'd ), and it's performing ok with title's such as MOHAA, UT2002, RTCW and so on.

Cheers

Personally, Ive owned Sparkle cards before and have not had any problems running them in spec. If it doesnt do the job its designed for then return it for one that does.

I forgot to mention about my TNT 2 m64, it's clocked @ 150/150, with a socket7 hsf on the gpu. That's up from 125/125 std. No problems for the last 2 years i have owned the card. I can get the gpu higher, but it doesn't do much, except get hotter, and the ram, well with some cooling it goes to 165, which is where all the performance is lost/found with the m64's.

Cheers

it means that this thread is well over one year old.

at first i thought the thread should be locked, but on second thoughts, i don't see why it should, as long as it stays on topic.

I meant the dude, a gf3 is like so 2002 part. <---

I do realise how old the thread is, as i have a post near the start of the thread, if you have read it all mate. It's still reasonably constructive, so don't close it yet.

Cheers

return my sparkle gf3 to austins (comp shop)
under warranty
since they at a the time had only 6 months warranty
on new parts i had to pay to get it looked at?
normally $50 but since is small only 30 this time

also they enquired why the label sticker was missing
and that they might not look at it (SPARKLE) WITHOUT ONE

FIGURE THAT OUT?

ps.
I only re-started up this thread to find out if any other were
having problems with sparkle 6 - 12 months down the track
if the cards dont last people should know
if warranty is shithouse
people should know
Austins warranty is shithouse
