Default SATA: Any Common problems etc?

I'm in the process of building a new machine with the final peices arriving next week, but today I picked up a 80gb Seagate 7,200rpm SATA drive.

Now, I really haven't looked greatly into SATA at this point, I mean... i know the basics but haven't really checked out any issues it may have.

Also, what does everyone thing about Seagate SATA drives... I was after minimal noise and from what i've seen Seagate make the quietest drives.

Thanks all.
