Default A sad day for Photography

Helmet Newton one of the best there ever was or ever will be died today after a car crash in LA.

Helmet was a true artist and a inspiration to me and many other photographers and his work will stand forever at the top of the profession.

Sad to see great photographers that inspired many pass away.

On a similar note two friends of mine had a very famous grandmother who recently passed away, one of the most widely known Australian photographers ever - Olive Cotton. Some of her work is truly stunning, creating amazing images out of inanimate household objects.
