Default how do i sycronize 2 stereos via network

Is it possible to get both my stereos cranking with the same music
I have a yamaha stereo hanging off my main computer with a wireless router/switch and a wireless enabled lappy in the lounge with my onkyo amp .
Can i run one instance of winamp/mediaplayer and have both stereos playing together ?

what u may be able to do, im not sure ive never done it, but some sort of streaming mp3 server thing, like they do over the net, then just tune in both ur pcs winamp's. sure, u wont be able to on-the-fly change the songs, but just select a good playlist.

You can use shoutcast which is a streaming tool for winamp.

It's really hard to get syncronised though. There's a plug in called netsync, but doesnt always seem to work.

This is what ive tried.
use winamp 2.xx to play the files from your main pc to stream them over your local network. ie use the shoutcast plugin. Have the volume turned off.

Use another instance or winamp5 to listen to songs on your main computer by tuning in to the stream from your main pc ie localhost:8000 in the url

Do the same on your laptop (url location= mainpc IP:8000 )

Stop the stream on winamp 2.xx and what for it to run out on both computers. Start the playback again and they should both start at the same time. It also helps having the encoder at a high bitrate ie 320 kbps.

I used winamp twice on my main pc since it is too hard to get the buffers right (you might know what i mean once you start playing with it).

If anyone else has a better way i would like to know. I've only recently wanted to do this so havent really tried anything else.

Your friendly music shop. Go to a reasonably high-tech one, they should have it displayed in their cabinets. It goes for around $400US last time I saw it.

Alternatively you can buy it online at the NI website: http://www.nativeinstruments.de/index.php?traktor2_us

$400 US..........
It would be cheaper to buy 12M of monster cable and use the "b" speaker button
Alternatively i could just have a search in kazza/emule :P

"radmin.exe" (remote administrator), it allows you to view you computers desktop and take total controll if it is connected to the network. very easy to do and rather fast if setup right. here is a pic of what it dose URL=http://www.overclockers.com.au/pcdb/view.php?name=plasticsurgeon-cube&page=pics]Here[/URL]

There is a Real Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP) defined, but I'm not too sure how much that would actually help. I am not aware of any software that will do this, but basically you'd need the server sending out timestamps to the peers, with some sort of control to start the buffer playback.
