They're sold under the sonic fury name (I think) in Australia. Or something similar

The "TurtleBeach Santa Cruz" and the "Videologic Sonic Fury" are exactly the same card.

the TBSC/Sonicfury are a legacy card now, you'll have a very hard time (snowflake's chance in hell) finding anywhere that has one in stock.

Having said that, the going price on the OEM cards last time I saw them around (over a year ago) was around $150.

ahh ok

can anyone recommend a card around 100-150 that is able to do digital out to an amp with 5.1

or can i just use a headphone jack -> rca from the line out on any 5.1 card to say the dvd input on a 5.1 amp and get the 5.1 sound?

Hey Snufkin do you have any idea how the SonicFury compares to the Videologic SonicXplosion ?

I'm just curious because i have the SonicXplosion now and wonder if the SonicFury is any better / worse.

The Sonicfury doesn't have optical I/O and the jacks on the card are slightly different.

I prefer the Sonicfury because the control panel for the card is cleaner than the SX card, otherwise there's very little difference

This is a CS4630 card?

You might want to look at the status of continuing driver support.

You can just use the coax SPDIF instead

Turtle Beach upgraded their drivers not too long ago, but I doubt there will be any windows 2003 support - although XP drivers should work in theory.

The bottom line is the TBSC is a great card! Even though it's getting a little old now
