Default Headphones????

Hi all, my headphones have recently died so i am in the marlet for a new pair.
i am looking for a pair that have a mic and are around the $50 mark.

i dont know much about headphones but i will be using them for mostly gaming and also a wide variety of music.

thanx, help would be appreciated

The Koss KSC-50's and KSC-55's are around your pricerange and sound fantastic for the price. of course they dont have a mic, but IMO the sound quality is worth it unless you REALLY need a boom mic.

can any one tell me if these are good frequencies for the headset.

SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS
Connection: Two 3.5 mm plugs
Headphone Frequency response: 20 Hz – 20 KHz
Microphone Frequency Response:
• AHS-302 & AHS-502: 100 Hz – 16 KHz
Impedance:
• Headphone: 32 ohm
• Microphone: 3.32 K ohm
Microphone sensitivity:
• AHS-201 & AHS-202: - 39 dB V/Pascal +/- 2 dB
• AHS-302 & AHS-502: - 40 dB V/Pascal +/- 2 dB
Microphone Power Source Voltage: 5 V DC.

The Koss CS-80 is the same as the Koss KSC-55 with a mic attatched

It'll sound heaps better than the Altec headset, but it won't isolate much.

Shadoxity; you can't tell anything particularly useful from headphone specs, all those state is that yes, it's a headphone and yes, it has a mic attatched and yes, it's all pretty standard.
