1. Is there any USB (or similar) gadget that will take the audio output from a computer and put it out to a radio frequency that a normal receiver can tune in ( lets just say AM doesnt count:P ) only needs to send strong enough signal to be picked up within 10m
2. what are some soundcard with the same optical output as a sony amp (need for recording MD's, yes i have a netmd but all netmd software is not working for me and refuses to after a few formats so i give up) i have a GTXP 6.1 but the MD doesnt like its optical out (i think it would if i changed it to the power dvd output) just heard of new driver feature that might solve this but cant test it yet 3. after thinking about the radio transmitter im thinking why not go the whole hog and setup an underground radio station but if sum1 can shatter my dreams with any knowledge please do

1) About a week ago i saw in a catologue a small device that plugs into your sound outlet on the sound card or mobo (if using onboard ac97), it broadcasts the sound into radio waves and has a general radius of around 5-8m, will find the cat 2nite and get the site for you, best of all this little device only costs around $25 which aint too much.
2)i also have a net md, a mzn1, nice little thing, i use a soundblaster live drive with and audigy but i couldn't get the stupid optical cable to work either, my only choice at the moment is to use the usb cradle that came with the md. 3) my dad and i do a lot of work with radio stuff and to set up a underground station you would need a medium to large antenna which will need to handle a few 100W worth of power, second you will need an amp/transmitter which can be very costly and most of the time require a license which take time and money to get, if i was in ur position i wouldn't even think about going underground, getting caught for that kind of stuff aint good and isn;t worth it. |
