Default MX500 freeze

My Logitech MX500 has started to randomly freeze for 1-2 seconds, then continue. All looks ok with the mouse

NE ideas, software corruption?

Is this while playing any games? Or just in the desktop? BTW What surface are you using it on? Have you tried installing the latest mouseware software?
