Default Need a new Sound Card.

Well I think I need a new sound card, I don't even know what one I've got at the moment but it's probably crap. So what's the best one or most popular at the moment for gaming?

Best/most popular is the Creative Audigy 2 ZS which can be bought for around $175.

Tell us more. What speakers/headphones do you have? Will you be using them only for gaming or music as well? I suggest you find out what soundcard you have at the moment..it might not be as bad as you think.

It's a Creative Vibra 128, sounds pretty old. I'll only be using it for gaming and I use a Logitech headset but sometimes hook up my Z-640's. I don't think I can afford those Audigy ones at the moment cause I just bought a new video card and hdd. Will the Soundblaster Live 5.1 do me for a while with all these new games coming out this year?
