Hi all, a few weeks ago I bought a new computer.
bought all the parts and got the store to install it all, instead of getting a pre-fab system. Anyway, the case is an Antec Sonata, which has front audio and usb ports. The USB ports work fine but I can't get the audio ports to work! Is there something you need 2 do in XP to turn em on?? I'm guessing that it hasn't been hooked up properly (I can't open it up and look cause it has a warenty sticker)system is- p4-2.8 ASUS p800 M/B using onboard sound. if i plug headphones in front, theres no sound, only from the rear.. i've tried with only front pluged in and still nothing I will take it back but just checking cause it is a bit of a drive to get there ![]() thanks all

I'd take it back and get them to fix it. They're probably either not plugged in, or not set up correctly. On some mainboards (like the NF7-S), there's a set of jumpers that you need to change to disable the back outputs and enable the front ones.
