A Graphic Designer's Time

Job
I am looking to hire an experienced graphic designer.
This will be for 3 web pages or suitable graphics I can use on web pages.
Although I can certainly create web pages quite easily they are "clinical" in their look.
I need them to have look that causes a visitor to the site to think "Oh that's really nice".
This is the window to the business and as such must present itself accordingly.

Remuneration
I can afford to pay around the $50 per hour.
A final total will be discussed with a successful applicant.

Criteria
Submit the URL's of previous sites done please, an emphasis on picture presentation would be a benefit.
The successful applicant will then be given a fuller description of my requirements and asked to produce 1 sample page, being paid $100 for that effort. This will see if we are on the right wavelength and understanding each other.

Exclusions
I'm not interested in hearing from kids whom think Oh I can do a web page. This is a serious business request and I doubt you will have the graphics experience I seek.
Post secondary education in a relevant field is required.

is this a full time or part time position?

my girlfriend is half way through a Bachelor of Applied Multimedia and might be interested in this if it is a part-time position.

I don't specialise in web design, although I can make webpages, I do not have much industry expereince in web. I'm specialise in print.

But one of my mates is a very good web designer. Do you want me to enquire?

OK just to clarify.. Are you wanting the whole side designed and coded? Or just designed? And what requirements are you after? HTML, PHP etc..?

I will be after 3 pages for the new website. No PHP as my hosting is with WebCentral. I will discuss my needs further with a succesful applicant, they will then design 1 page for a cost of $100 to see if we are on the right track.
