I imagine they would have repeaters spread through the shopping centre. Otherwise their "Buddies" messenger service would be pointless
Bluetooth Class 1 = ~100m
Bluetooth Class 2 = ~20m
Bluetooth Class 3 = ~10m

Most phones are class 2 or class 3.

And yes, the shopping centres will have numerous bluetooth access points in order to facilitate centre-wide coverage (or at least reasonable coverage, centre-wide coverage may be impractical).

seems interesting, but I don't think I'll sign up, I won't be using it enough, plus I reckon most AP's will be in capital cities...

Wow those features seem really really pointless. The only feature there that I could being used would be the movie times but that said I wouldn't be at the shops to see a movie unless I actually looked up the time prior.

The shopping list is a joke. Why not just write an SMS msg and save it on you phone?

Store directory? might help but that said walking around looking at your phone is impractical in a shop. May aswell just look at one of the many maps around the shops.

Specials is okay i guess but again you would have to spend a lot of time at the shops to make the money saved on specials outweigh the weekly cost of the service.

Buddies again is cool, but again you have to have friends using the same service. Why not just msg, ring your friends like normal people

If it was a free service then fair enough but can't see anyone bar some malrats getting use out of such a service.

I think the specials service is quite promising. From my own spending habits, I am loath to purchase anything full price.

The market they are aiming for is generally the people who 'hang' at shopping centres. This could be mothers looking to waste half a day with a limited budget and kids wasting the afternoon after school.

This service needs to be implemented a bit more before I would sign up. Why would you sign up if there are no places in your area?

Interesting!
