Currently I cannot assign IRQ 12 manually to any of the PCI Slots, if I do, the computer hangs at the point where the BIOS is detecting PCI Devices, and if I don't assign it, nothing uses it at all, so it is effectively wasted.
I have a ASUS A7V133 with 1005a BIOS, and no PS/2 Mouse. Is there a BIOS that allows you to disable PS/2 mouse port, because the only options I have in BIOS setup at the moment is "Auto" & "Enabled". Anybody have any idea's?

Well I am running Windows 98SE, and I was hoping to move my Network Card and USB Ports up to IRQ12, because PCI slots 4 & 5 are currently assigned IRQ4, which is almost at the bottom of the priority list! (yes some of us actually read the manual
)At the moment I have the IRQ's assigned the following way, AGP/PCI Slot 1 (Geforce2MX/Empty) IRQ 9 PCI Slot 2 (Empty / OnboardPromise RAID IDE Controller) IRQ10 PCI Slot 3 (MX300 Sound Card) IRQ11 PCI Slot 4 (Intel Network Card) Auto (but assigned IRQ4 according to POST and OS) PCI Slot 5 Empty (but PCI Slots 4 & 5 Share with the USB anyway, but I can live with that!) IRQ 12 cannot be manually assigned to any of the PCI slots, nor does it get used if I go fully AUTO on all the PCI slots. If there was a BIOS option to disable the PS/2 Mouse port, I would certainly use it, and I bet money it would solve my problem if it was available!

I figured it out, by myself!
It sucks to be at the top of the technical food chain!
