why don't you just do it yourself? get yourself a data cable, download the v600 flexware and flash it. Don't flash the firmware. Apparently that's where you can run into troubles.

There have been several reports of problems that have arisen because of people flashing their v525 with v600 firmware.

As for the vodafone logos, they are easy to remove if you are that way inclined.

I bought my bare cable at the Springvale swapmeet for $39 (no software)... some phone accesory people wanted $49 with software....

the cable was a V66 phone cable...

Does NOT charge the phone at the same time...

I have the persons email somewhere.,...


Even with the cable, getting java apps onto the phone as pretty difficult....

No. Check the howard forums. There are plenty of guides. The Vxxx series use the same as the v60 cable. It's all over the net.

quite seriously i recon, coz of the sheer numbers of the units sold. but whos complainin (onther then the ppl that bought b4 hand) i got me a bargain and dont wanna let go of it n e time soon :P
