Below are a few pics of the lens mounted on my 300d. I'm having too much fun taking pictures with the lens that it might be a while before sample photo's are posted.

i played with one of these a week ago at teds. fell in love with it. the speed and accuracy of the AF blew me away, and the quality of pictures compared to the kit lens was unbeliveble. only thing i had trouble with, was trying to keep it steady with all that weight up front.

Absolute sacrilige, that Hoya filter! Take it off, take it off!!! You paid thru your nose "L" quality, why counter it up by inserting two needless air/glass surfaces to the sensor?

I only use filters (UV, Circ. Polarizer, Starlight) when I see a need for it. I dont leave them constantly attached.

In certain circumstances, I need either the UV or the polar. Scene looks significantly better with them attached.

I would much rather a good photo with good light and a slight blurred look than a crap light photo that is tac sharp.

Some guys from work are going to the US for a while so I'm going to see if one of them will buy me a 70-200 f2.8 while they are over there.

I'd have bought the 2.8, if it wasnt for the extra cost, size and weight.
1650 with a hoya circ polariser included
