fart_n_piss (yeah, that is his handle) had a computer running the full complement of 3000 MAME ROMS in an original arcade box for sale in the trading forums. Look him up and talk to him about this sort of thing, I think he builds the machines himself.

did you see mine?
it was on the main overclockers page a few weeks(months?) ago:
http://www.saturn.powerup.com.au/arcade

yeah, that T shaped black edging is hell to find.
i spent about 2 full days phoning people and driving around places.

i eventually found a cabinet maker who had some.
they were right next to the plastics factory that manufactured (distributed) it.
couldn't buy it off the plastics place in anything less than a few hundred metres, so i wandered into the cabinet makers.
it was their lunch break, and there was only one young guy working overtime, spoke to him, and he said "urrhh, yeah, i guess you could buy some" and cut me off 3 meters, i gave him $5 which he promplty put into his own pocket

maybe next holidays (oh wait, i'm working now, no more holidays

Yeah :P
I was most dissapointed in going to the last page, and not seeing what happened at the end!

Is the machine working though?

And is it tucked safely in a little corner shop growing fat with all the 20c coined being shoved in there?

yeah, it's all working - great for parties.

no, hasn't collected any money yet. there's a little metal bit missing from the coin slot trigger, i've no idea on where i'm get something to replace it. also, the coins currently drop into the top of the computer case, which probabaly isn't a good thing (d'oh)

I've just got a genuine Mortal Kombat arcade machine in my place. No plans to shred it a part and put a PC in it since I get great laughs convincing kids that you still need to put a dollar in to play it (and since the coin mech works for that purpose, why not?)
