Goddam. BSOD's every time I am in combat. Even after a rebuild/shuffle of PC parts. Sigh.

Next guess is no audio. Maybe that'll fix it. I'm going nucking futs. I love this game so much, but get pretty peeved when I can't do what I want. (Like kill a few punks)

E:\Games\EVE\cache

delete all files and folders EXCEPT settings and prefs.ini

Or better, MOVE them to another location. That way you can put them back if it doesn't fix your problem. From memory, I think I had to reinstall and repatch EVE to get it working when mine started having random freezes and losing the screen when in space.

Remember, the cache keeps track of the folders for all of your bookmarks, so if you have lots and delete it, they all end up mixed together...

Heh, didn't even know I could folder my bookmarks. I deleted everything except prefs.ini. Also turned audio off. That's what fixed it in the end. I bought this shitty 50 buck 5.1 soundblaster pci card, but it's so shit there are no official drivers from creative except for the disc it was boxed with. So I think I'll remove the crap card and go back to 5.1 onboard sound. Never had a problem there.

Onboard sound has come leaps and bounds since back in the day. But I don't even use sound in Eve nemore anyway.

When u run 2 clients it conflicts and crashes with sound on

2 clients is where I'm headed, hate how you can have 3 characters but only train them 1 at a time, so ther goes another $20 a month...

Still less than my weekly bourbon costs.

I finally got my Destroyer. Having the extra fire power does make things easier.

meh... Frigs still better than destroyer. I may seem nicer now, I mean 8 turrets, its gotta be good right?

But, once you learn the mechanics of the game you will realise you are better off in a frig. Smaller sig radius = not getting hit as much = living longer. Destroyers are horrible weak and will be EXPLOEDLDED by not much more than a sneeze.

Currently I am toying around with the idea of setting up a second EVE Account. Reason being that I don't have to be as quick on the keys (unlike some other MMOs)
I can keep the 2nd account as a support ship to my main account's ship.

I got 2 computers that the monitors are next to each other.

However i might look into that after christmas.
