Yeah possibly, didn't look into ti much really.

I think the only possible benefits of going the command ship route are:

I have stuck it out to train BC V which makes her a great tier 3 BC suicide gank alt.
A command ship costs (A lot) less than a t3 cruiser.
Getting ganked in a Command ship isint going to risk losing ay SP if it gets kerploeded.
T3 path is not SO attractive since the recent nerf to 'unprobable'.

The T3 would have been significantly better becase it offers something like another 3% max boost at max skills and could take more links at one time (like upto 7 apparently)... but hey, I've got Cruiser V on the same toon and it would be only a hop, skip and jump to Tengu. Plus some of the support skilsl required make her eligable for Basilisk too.

I've done it a few times for the llolz and a couple of times to stop shit talking corpies.

Grinding sec status only blows if you get as low as flashy red and can never enter highsec or dont have access to lots of fat nullsec rats.

My main is going to t2 large proj after completing t2 large energy turrets for the NM mission ship. Going for better med hybrids and BC because gank brutix is cheaper for poorly tanked Hulks than gank tornado.

Command ship can run 7 links also..you just need co-processers in the mids.

If you havent noticed also...sec status grinding is now fully broken out of the arse now as CCP in an 'unmentioned crucible change' only the player who gets the final blow to a rat gets the sec increase

Well thats nice like its a problem when you are ratting by yourself....

God damn they fucked up some stuff in this patch...

renamed more god damn modules like invulernability fields
moved the order in which skills are displayed in your char sheet
moved shit around in the market view

and I dont know about you all but I believe the UI is slower and slower

....yer the client has increased its system resoures requirement. My main rig can only allow 2 clients running lag free now instead of 3

This is to (at least temporarily) break the macros.

I used to be able to run 3 clients at 1920x1080, 60 fps.
1 on high settings with my 460gtx
2 on low settings with my 9600gt

Don't know what they did in the last patch but now I can't get more than 20fps on all three even at lowest settings.

Bought a mission proteus, going to grind up standing with RSS in the area I'm living in. Not many pvp targets around when i log on these days, might have to start roaming some more. I've been sticking with the bait Hyperion+cloaky jammy falcon combo :P

Account 2 - manufacturing stuff off t2 bpc's created by account 1 and training seige leadership
Account 3 - this account gets the most play time with the golem doing l4's

I did have 1 toon from 2 of the accounts in a nullsec carebear/indy corp but they were total dickheads so I am back in highsec, continuing the quest for a reasonable amount of passive income.

40 l4 research agents (Although in reality I dont collect and sell cores, I use some of them in invention and have several thousand sitting there doing nothing... I'm such a hoarder)
