we got the csr golden syrup in the fancy squeese tube. so my dad opens it, he unscrews the top and the special valve thingy falls out. then he thinks its packaging and throws it out.
so now im left with a squeese golden syrup bottle that doesnt work properly. plus its beatiful on pancakes and it gets used in cooking.

Personally, i think its weird. Its like a honey impostor, and just not right. Too sugary.

As far as I know golden syrup is just un-crystalised raw sugar. I got this info from my G,dad who owns a cane farm and used to work in a raw sugar factory (a few decades ago!) but he is an A+ b.s. artist so take this info skeptically. Oh and if you get a can of sweetend condensed milk and boil it (unopened can) in water for 1 1/2 to 2 hours you get (almost) instant Caramel . DON'T LEAVE UNATENDED 3 HOURS = BURENT CARAMEL ENCRUSTED WALLS! (I know!) Boiling water evaporates so top up now and then. YUMMY
ps. mollases(a sugar makeing by product) is good Last edited by mitt; 15th February 2002 at 8:38 PM. |
