Talking pocket pc :D

hey everyon..... im posting this wiht an asus a620bt pocket pc atm, and i am surprised how nice it is to browse the net on it. only thing i can complain about is the typing with a stylus, and the built in microsoft internet explorer, ill try find an alternative later though. using bluetooth to use the net wirelessly atm and its not as slow as i thought. if anyone is in the market for a pocket pc, i would reccommend this on, very very fast and can play playstation emulation at full speed for some games

its in the market wiht the ipaq 2210, same spec CPU. the screen on the ipaq is a little but bigger but i like the quality of the asus screen better. but yeh, if your considering an ipaq 2210 try have a look at this asus as well before you make your decision. i got my baby for second hand for $300 including a bonus sync cable and a leather case. but these can be found for around 500 around australia.

also.... can anyone recommend me a good internet browser for pocket pc, preferbably freeware .

well thats all from me for now, peace out

The best net browser is Access NetFront. It now has support for the landscape mode of WM2003se.

For typing needs, I like to use the modified keyboard known as Fitaly. It gives me great typing speeds (around 40-50wpm), you just have to practice a bit at the start.

Glad to see you're enjoying your PDA mate

My bluetooth browsing has never worked properly, I need to reformat everything and start from scratch I think. As for writing, well I just use the transcriber - once I got used to it and learned all the gestures I found it heaps faster than typing, and anyone who watches you write will say "ooh ahh!".

edit: if you don't have a credit card you might find getting PPC software a bit hard. Everything is purchased online, and there are a few absolute "must-have" programs. I recommend checking out Pocket Informant, it actually makes the WM2003 tasks system useful
