In that case, try it at your own risk.

Hey there,

I'm one of the persons on here with a HIS X800 pro Vivo. the first day I got it, I flashed it, and it ran stable at xt speeds with no artificats or any other problems. However, my limit on the memory is exactly 560 Mhz, and the GPU was limited to 540Mhz before artifacts occurred. However, I upped the voltage using the pencil trick. It was 1.39 volts and I raised it to 1.45 volts, now it does 573 core clock speed.

P.S, does anyone have info on upping the vmem? I can't seem to find a decent article anywhere for it.

vmem mods require some soldering, if you have the skills and are up to it
All you have to do is put a 20K VR onto pin 5 of the chip I have highlighted in this pic to get about +.08 on the mem. From then, just turn you pot to raise as required. The read point to read the vmem is marked in green

Hey mate, I'm capable at soldering (doing microelectronics at uni), but i'm uncertain about where you mean I have to solder the 20k pot.... you hook it to pin 5, but to where else?

Thanks for the info.

Ground To get a ground, you could solder it onto one of your molex plug ground solder points which correspond to a molex earth (middle two pins will do)

Me scared, I don't have an income, only work on the holidays, so if i destroy this card, I have no other card I can afford. I sold my other card. Hmmmm, i think 560mhz mem might be enough for now. I doubt my soldering iron has a small enough tip for that pin either, hehe. But, I will keep this post in favourites so if I do gather the courage to do this mod in future, I will.

Thanks again.

it is honestly not worth the risk. Just o/c the card with 12 pipes it runs fine anyway.. its not like you can't play the newest games at full settings with over 60fps anyway. Who cares about getting 200 more 3dmarks (even though it probably is more but that is not the point)
