I've recently put in an order with (expansys.com.au) for a Acer n30 Pocket PC and am greatly awaiting the arrival.
However I am wondering what people think is the best Pocket PC, Palm, PDA, whatever you want to call it, out there? Make it within a certain price range because no doubt you could buy something for $2000 and it would be pretty nice compared to my $450.

The Palm Zire 72 can take photos and videos, as well as all the other PDA type stuff. Looks like a useful device

General web consenus is, the dell AXIM 30, with the 624Mhz cpu, wlan etc is a sure fire winner, and for like $644 delivered, is a complete bargain if you ask me, shits on the ipaq's in its range. (said from a 4150 owner)
Also, the toshiba with the VGA screen is also a winner. |

You've gotta consider what your usage will be. if your PDA will serve you as a calendar, todo, email sync and notepad replacer it's all good.
Pocket Pc's do have shorter battery lives.

what would people recommend in terms of lower-end models?
i'm looking for a more basic PDA-type thing... i want to be able to sync with office 2003 but don't need fancy gadgets like cameras, multimedia support etc. -mxmai |

I'm pretty sure I saw in a Dell ad a little while ago, that if you went into a Dell Direct Store, and traded in a old pda, they'd take $150 dollars off the 624Mhz pda. Making it $450
So if you have a old one lying around..... |

I use a Palm Tungsten T3, and I have no real complaints. I mean it doesn't include a camera, I'm not worried about that, that's why I have a phone
It may not be the most feature packed, but I've been more than happy with it, got a good protective case for it, and it's widescreen mode is good....No camera, no wifi, if that's important to you I'd probably go with something other than palm... otherwise they are great little devices in my experiences.
