Default A few new Ipaqs

I was browsing http://www.ht.com.au/ and have noticed they now offer a few of the new Ipaqs namely the

rz1710
rx3417
rx3715

The last one looks pretty good with bluetooth and wifi as well as a built in camera. Has anyone got one of these new models yet just wondering what they are like?

Still waiting to see a Hx4700 around as I think that will be pretty interesting with a VGA display, though I don't think it'd be cheap the rx3715 is $800.

Hey

The new models are good... OR i should say, the new top model is good.

The RX3715 for its price, is more feature packed than the 5550 was, with extra ram, better processor, and just general upgrades. Was playing and messing with all three at work (HN) but do not go on sale till 24/8/04.

The new rz1710 is SHIT IMO. it replaces the 1940, and comparing both they are not even close.

both $499
1710
200Mhz
32Mb/25Mb available
BT, and PPC2k3
Thicker, squarer and not as comfortable

[b]1940[b]
266Mhz
64Mb/48Mb available
BT, and PPC2K3
Slimmer, longer battery life, better styling and HEAPS of existing add ons.

The 1940 isnt a discontinued line until January, so they will battle it out for 4 months yet... Just dont see the logic.

The 4700 looks good, but if you've played with any 640x480 PDA's yet, you'll see, they are not really supported, as yet, but the new version of PPC due later in the year (or soem free aftermarket programs) will change that.

Me, i just bought a 4150. For $525 now they are discontinued. 400Mhx, 64Mb, WLAN, BT, SLIM!!! and 4 hour battery life. FOr the price, i couldnt say no.

Only from the 3715 straight to our print machine via BT.

quality wise, obviosuly better than a camera phone, but isnt great, did an "ok" 6x4 print. with no optical and no flash it is very limited mind

Any of the old series are better than the new I think... The top version might be better, but I can't really say... I have a H4150 and am very happy with that!

These news ones are just not built the same... They feel very cheap ! About the only thing going for them is the screen... They have managed to remove the yellow from the screen unlike the previous series...
