Lightbulb ITC Laptops

Can't find much info on them, I know that they are based in Perth… and that's about all that I can find

Anyone know anything about them? What are their laptops like quality wise?

Apparently, ITC is actually HUGE, and most of the work comes from system builders, for instance, 4 of dells laptops are made buy them, as well as some other manufacturers as well...

I've played with a couple of them, they seem good enough. Better build than some around, like the budget HP's, LG, Benq ones.

They are re-badged imports. They have very good after-sales support. Warranty etc is very good.

They are generally Clevo or Compal machines.

Compal = Millennia 6100
Clevo = Millennia 71xx series, 7300.

Other models I am not sure of. Check out the Clevo site for some information about Clevo machines. http://www.clevo.com.tw

I agree with the build quality comment. Much better than my Dell D800 (its crap).

I have just ordered one of the ITC 7300's after doing much research. I actually ordered it from the above member!

They are made by Clevo (as are most of the most recent top end laptops). In America they are sold as a Sager, in Aust as a Pioneer or ITC.

There was a recent web link floating around that showed that 70 to 80 percent of all laptops are made by two companies and just rebadged.

I got the 7300 with the X800 chipset as a desktop replacement. Although a fair amount of money, it is upgradable with very good specs, as distinct from other laptops.

Looking at the ITC 6200 at the moment (looked at about 140 so far). Good specs for cheap.
ITC and Metabox are the same thing but with different warranty support.

we sell ITC branded laptops to our clients.
they're very good quality laptops.

we usually get them custom built to our clients specifications, rather than the off the shelf models. (unless those models meet our client's requirements. )

we've never had any complaints.
in fact one of our clients loves his laptop so much that when his business got broken into, he was more worried that someone may have stolen his $3k+ laptop than he was that someone may have stolen his entire $20k network.
turns out, in the end all they stole was a camera. lol
they walked past $20k worth of computer equipment to steal a camera.
