So from looking at these TPG model laptops I'm liking the price range and the features but I wouldn't mind being able to shop around for a similar product.
So, Is any other company putting out a similar product? In my experience after one company puts together something like this, others follow.

My family just took delivery of 2 TPG laptops and we are most impressed with the overall build quality and the bang-for-your-buck factor. It is a big notebook (with its enormous wide-screen) but surprisingly light for its size.

yea i saw them in the ad.. their quite bang for buck.. for ~1.5k its gotta be one of the cheapest yet its a midrange laptop

I got one and they are great.. they are a rebadged emachines laptop.
there's a giant thread about them on whirlpool with more than enough info for you
