Default Netgear wireless prob

ok i got a w5g11t wireless network card. when ever i use it in my laptop it crashes it and heats up. is there any way to fix it or can i rma it ( i baught it off some one on this forums)

Firstly, have you installed the latest drivers? What OS are you running?

Some PC cards can run quite hot. This is quite normal and they're designed to take some hefty extremes in that respect.

If the PC is heating up, there'll be something chewing 100% of your CPU power, most likely due to some sort of driver or OS issue.

It's unlikely that the card is faulty.

well ive used win 2k, xp and 2k server and i still get it. yep ive updated the drivers and the system bios. ive also tried it in another laptop and it crashes also. yet when u unplug it the laptop unfreezes and it works again

I'm running that card and no problems here. Dunno but I'd say sounds like a bung card
