Hey everyone!

I got meself an SFF not long ago, and I thought it'd be a good/cool idea if everyone here on OCAU who has got one could read this thread and join the club of SFF users on these forums... Since most of us ARE overclockers, please mention your system components and overclocked characteristics, thanks heaps guys! I hope I won't be the only person here!

I bought a second-hand Shuttle XPC SB65G2 from the trading section here a few months ago, and I've since customised it a couple times, but now have changed it to be as quiet as possible.

Specifications:

Shuttle SB65G2 (black)
(changed) 250w SilentX PSU
(changed) 80mm Vantec Stealth (in place of Sunon)
Pentium 4 1.8A (at stock for now, does 2.7 - 3GHz o/c'ed)
2 x 256Mb Adata DDR500 ram
1 x Seagate 120Gb HDD (very quiet, main installation drive)
1 x WD 200Gb SATA
Pioneer DVR-108 DVD burner (black)
VisionPlus HDTV tuner with infra-red remote
ATi 8500DV All-In-Wonder with radio remote
AND I have a Minitar USB wireless 802.11g device to keep it linked up to my main PC.

so it's a very quiet, fully decked out home theatre PC
One-button digital TV recording to HDD, and burn onto DVD whatever I want to keep. Gets rid of the 500+ VCR casette tapes lying around here! Eventually I'll put all my MP3's on too, because the ATi Remote Wonder lets me change tracks/volume/etc anywhere in the house The ATi 8500 AIW's TV-out is superb.

I also have a blower-fan I used to have on the back sucking the hot air out, which also runs very quiet. I might put that back on. Inside case temps get a bit toasty, up to 40C.

It's also my "PC Game-Cube" with 2 x USB Belkin dual-analog gamepads, and optical out cable running into Logitech Z-680 speakers. Awesome for watching DVD movies!! I might try out winXP media centre edition one day.

Go ClubSFF!

Biostar iDEQ 200N

I was the one who bought one first, loved it, told groovetek about it and then he bought one. COPYCAT!!!!11

'Tis true.

Anyway, mine is a rock stock 200N

>AthlonXP 2500 (locked) @ 200MHz FSB. (2.2Ghz)
>Radeon 9800PRO 128MB modded to XT
>2x 256MB PC3200 kingston
>Samsung cd-rw dvd combo
>NO MORE FLOPPY FOR ME!
>80gb WD 8mb
>Cnet wireless pci card (yes it fits with the 9800PRO)

Other things: LG Flatron 775FT, ratty A4 tech wireless kb and mouse

All together it does the job quite nicely

Oh and this club would not exist if I didnt get groovetek into buying one and hence creating this thread. lol

EDIT: updating system spec.

Might as well join while I'm here. Can we specify membership numbers? #7, if you please, if not, ah well

I own a Shuttle SN41G2. Stock as at the moment, if you don't include the LanSmash case sticker Specs as follows:

SN41G2
AMD Athlon XP2500+ Barton (stock speed)
512mb Corsair (2x256mb matched pair) LL PC3200 TwinX
Hercules ATi Radeon 9500Pro
Western Digital 200GB hdd (Master)
Western Digital 120GB (Slave)
Netgear WG311 54mbps Wireless PCI

edit: Finally put it together! Here's a pic!

I want to buy a second 'shell' case cover for it, to mod it up and polish it up to a mirror finish. I'd mod the regular one, but because I want to make it all shiny, I don't want to run the risk of bodging up the only cover I've got during the sanding process. Does anybody know where I can buy a second cover?

hi there, thanks for the compliments... well dimensoins are (using my measuring tape:

Width: 21cm
Height: 19cm
Depth (length): 32cm

Biostar ones are slightly longer than shuttles, but the positive side of this is that alot more space inside for things like large cpu heatsink and so on.

edit:/ to answer your question, the BIOSTAR 200N is $319, and yeah it comes with the unit itself(which has all cables and motherboard pre-installed), a 200w psu (fairly powerful at that, but dont' expect to run a 6800 ultra in it - i tried, but cpu overclocking totally makes the power cut out with such a high-draining video card), and a heatsink/fan that is very decent, although for extreme clocking (as with me), it's not quite enough.

With SFF's, everyghin is internal, dont worry... it's basically a normal desktop case, but shrunken down in size, the only setback is the limited number of drives u can put in it, and slightly inferior ventilation (which is why I modified it).

Here is a pic before I began modding my box:

Alfonzo, I'll put you as member # 7 for sure! Hopefully there will be people to fill in 4 to 6 though... COME ON GUYS!

The LS Sticker was the first thing I did to mine when it was out of the box.

And ditto - i need side panels

About the 200N - you can get them in black too. they are 200NB. I believe stocks are extremily low in australia - i think biostar are planning to make a revision to the iDEQ range. The current design has been around for a good year now.

check out www.biostar.com.tw for speds.

Awesome little machines

Ive also joined the SSF bandwagon, best decision ever.

Mines a SB75G2 with the Silent X
- 3.0 running at 3.5Ghz aircooled.
- case temps around 30-40C
- 9600XT Radeon
- Sony DVD burner
- 2x 120Gb HD
- Fusion HDTV tuner card.

Still need to swap the radiator fan as the original sunon is way too loud. Any ideas on what to swap???? It needs to be dead quiet!!
